A baby's wisdom
Babies are photogenic because they are love. They aren't worried about their rolls or wrinkles. They don’t try to move their body to the most flattering angle. They don't waste precious time making these harsh judgements about themselves. They just are. If their happy, they show it. If they are sad they show it. They honour themselves. Somewhere along the line a lot of us listen to the subtle and strong opinions of others. We start to think we will be more loveable if we are slimmer, blonder, have more money, or are more successful. My father always used to tell me 'don't think you are worth anything'. It was a mantra he'd say repeatedly. I was an innocent child, so I believed him. This is rubbish. We are all loveable. We are most loveable when we are ourself. Where not here to be someone else. Where here to be our self. So today I find my bliss by imagining I am a baby. When I start to become critical I think of how a baby would react. Then I'm kind to myself and others.
