Sacred Womens Business
As my feet touched the sacred soil of Ubud, Bali for the first time, I could feel that my life was at a tipping point. Change was the only thing I was certain of, and it was time to embrace it. Quite excitement filled me as I thought about the possibilities for my life. I looked around to see the women I would be sharing a home with for the next week. Some I knew, and some I was meeting for the first time. Each women unique and special in their own way.
Our week together was a cross between a spiritual pilgrimage and a girls week away. By day we meditated, saw healers, palm readers, and received water blessings. By late afternoon we delighted in spa treatments and local shopping. At night we relished the local cocktails. Woven into everything was the tapestry of our stories. As we shared our journeys with each other we inspired and healed each other with our friendship. For those who had tears we rallied around them. For those who shone, we basked in appreciation of their light. Mostly we learnt from each other. I learnt something special from each of these amazing, soul full women.
We shared the nourishment of amazing food. Having coffee and cake became a sacred ritual. As we relished in the delight of the local produce we once more shared our stories. Their was immense compassion and respect for each other. United we became one. It made me realise how sacred my friendships are. Today I find my bliss by being grateful for the sacred friendships I share. I honour my friends and their stories. They make me wiser and more compassionate. Have a wonderful day xo
